Playing with water is a fundamental human impulse which, once past childhood, we rarely get the chance to indulge.  We all remember the joy of pouring streams of water from one container to another, of creating rainbows with the garden hose, of experimenting with objects that float and sink, of watching water sparkling over our fingers in a pool or tracing rain down the window on stormy days.

Since the start of Project Leophard, Gerhard has always been committed to giving his audiences the chance to recapture these often fleeting memories and moments of happiness.  He has done this with the development of the interactive sculptures which are an important part of the Project.
